I have had RA for about 20 years. I have been on Metho, Arava, Prednisone, Humera and Enbrel.  Enbril was the best for me but unfortunately I have so many skin cancers my doc took me off.  He wants to try and add plaquenil, so I am very happy to read the positive feed back.  Humera was awful for me just to many infections. I did not get a single one with Enbrel.

Welcome to the forum! What kinds of skin difficulties did the doctor think may have been related to the Enbrel? The information you'll find here is so helpful.

Geez. I hate to hear that the Humira caused so many infections. I am taking my first Humira shot tomorrow. I know we are all different, though. I took Plaquenil for a while and it did help until I became allergic to it. Are you also taking Arava and/or MTX now?

Dear Vannie, Iam on Humira for one year and for whole year I was not sick even one day... take your fish oil regularly and hopefly you'll be fine. We all are different though... for one person something will work for another don't. We just need to hope for the best :-)

I took my first shot today! Stung a bit, but I didn't get sick or anything. Hooray!

Hi Vannie

keeping my fingers crossed that the Humira will work for you as well as it did for me.  I just took my second Cimzia injection bit it isn't really helping much yet.  Hoping it'll kick in soon
