When I was having physical therapy for bursitis, the therapist told me that many falls are because our muscles aren't as strong when we're older as when we're younger. So, if our muscles are weak, it's sometimes easy to fall if we miss a step or get off balance. She said this is why as we get older, we need to walk more and do exercises to strengthen all our muscles. You can search online for these exercises and do them in your house!
