Hi all! I have been suffering from extensive lymphadenopathy with my RA for a couple of years now. At the end of last year, one in my neck became so big that we were worried about lymphoma.....and it was causing a ton of problems in my neck. It was causing me to lose my voice, have difficulty swallowing, have pain in neck and up into ears, hiccups because it was pressing on my vagal nerve, and it was pressing on my carotid and jugular. So I had it surgically removed in December. It was determined that the lymph node was enlarged because of active RA. I have several more in my supraclavicular, infraclavicular, and axillary areas as well as deep in one breast. All seem to be the same thing, though the large one deep in my breast showed up on mammography and ultrasound, so the breast oncologist wants to ultrasound it again to check and make sure it hasn't gotten any bigger. I think this is something that sometimes happens in RA that is advanced, not being treated or treated appropriately, or when you have fallen out of remission and into a big flare. Just my little humble opinion:)
