ra and thyroid problems

just wondering if anyone else has thyroid issues along with the arthritis. I've heard it's fairly common and I'm just trying to get all my facts straight.

Hi there,
Yes, I have thyroid issues along with the RA. Not sure how common it is, but I think there are a few others here with it as well. From what I've been reading, thryoid problems can also be autoimmune, and it's not uncommon to have more than one autoimmune thing at the same time.

my mom was told by the rhuemmy that her RA, thyroid and diabetes were all autoimmune.

Autoimmune Thyroid disease such as Graves' and Hashimoto's is associated with RA.

I have Graves' disease and RA. Endocrinologist says they are highly associated.

Hi. I'm new to this site and relatively new to RA as well. Was diagnosed about 6 months ago. Just want to add that I had Graves Disease as well.
