Wow you really escalated quickly on the medicine side - from Prednisone/Pyralin to 30mg MTX in one deft move? 30mg is a very high dose in my opinion!

I've had arthritis for about 2 years, but I can't say I've come up with many coping strategies apart from sleeping a lot and taking plenty of pain-killers. I'm surprised that you're still taking Leflunomide despite liver damage - this is a potentially risky move. Have you considered biologic treatments like Remicade, Humira, Enbrel?

The worst thing for me is i live in a fairly remote country town and our medical resourses are something to be desired . To see this current Rheumatologist it`s a 600km round trip and to see my Oncologist i have to travel 1400km round trip .Im just so over travelling and have infact cancelled further cancer surgery because i am not going to travel the 1800km trip to the Major city to undergo it .It`s not life threatening but am waiting on results from other tests now just to see if some of the symptoms i`m experiencing is due to cancer in another area only time will tell .
I have used many different pain medications but ddue to severe reactions to them i`m extreemly limited in what i can use even the patches were not an experience i would go through again .
My local gp here along with my chiropractor have me in a special diet to help the liver recover only will know how its going when i have further tests next week so heres hoping there will be a change for the better .
One question i would like to ask has anyone ever experienced a very fast heart rate ,periods of intense heat ( not like hot flushes) but way hotter than that increased blood pressure where before the blood pressure was really good .These symptoms are really getting me down and am experiencing them all day long with little relief .My resting heart rate is 140 - 150 bpm

Golitho the dr mainly thinks a lot is " stress " but i`m under no more stress than i have been for years .
Iam to frightened to do anything as the heart rate increases more .The gp went through my medications and ruled out them being the cause but was not sure about the medication i`m on for Rheumatoid Arthritis as he didn`t know one of them so just told me to rest and wait and see what my specialist has to say when i see him which by the way is the end of November .
I have been on the Prdenisone back in February and would of thought if it was going to cause problems that it would of done so way before this .As for the magnesium and Potassium tests i`ve lost track of what i have had done and not had done as i have blood tests every two weeks .
Today i`m spending another quiet day here by myself but i`m enjoying it today after good rain here recently the garden is so beautiful and i have a bird bath outside the window just watching the numerous birds takeing a dip .
