Costochondritus/Tiezte :: Scared :(

So around my 2nd rib cartaliage on my right side near my sternum I have a bump. its hard and you can slightly notice it in my chest with some long swelling. When i lay on my side it feels tight in that area with an ache. When this first started I had symtoms in my lower ribs of costochondritis, but i believe i also have tiezte. When i showed my doc my 2nd rib he said 'Oh thats costo' but im worried I need a MRI or mamogram.

I am 24 years old female. I have had no trama to my chest, this all started in a time of highstress. I also have swallowing pains in the chest that mimic my lower costo pains, idk if its from inflimation or anxiety.

I had a chest xray when pain first began 3months ago and the doc said everything was fine, but that was before i ever noticed swelling.

I had pain for about 2 months and it went away only to come back again this month. Its been 3months and im so tired of the pain. I need to probably go see a specialist but scared it could be cancer or something :(

anyone else does this sound similar to you.

I've had costochondritis as well but mine was in the middle of my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack.There is also a swelling there.

They treated me with anti inflammatories and muscle relaxers. I hope you get some relief. Did they give you anything for it??

I have Sjogrens and RA and it seems when I have a flare, the costo will also flare up.
