Don't know what to believe UGH!!!!!!!

So, I had a consult today with another rheumy. He looked at my x rays and said he doesn't think I have RA. I was so relieved for hours but now I just feel confused and doubtful. I hate this about myself. Perhaps I should seek the opinion of yet another doctor?? I have Sjogrens for sure and he thinks it's the SJS and some fibromyalgia. While I hope he is right, now, I am not sure what to believe. Anybody else run into this a lot?

Hi Joy! Yea, the report from the radiology Dr. says evidence of early RA. This rheumatologist disagreed when he looked at the x rays that I brought on a disc-:) He also examined my hands. I am RF negative. He felt that usually how a disease presents is how the disease is going to progress, if that makes sense. I guess if it presents very acutely, you are gonna have trouble, if it presents as mild, it is going to stay mild. So, we'll see if he is right. With medicine, there are things that are quite often "opinions" and other cases are very black and white. Currently, I am feeling pretty good.

Yep, I read something like that today too, that the seronegative acts slowly and isn't as aggressive. I called them back today and asked them to compare my last x rays of 2011 to 2015. I wonder if this young Dr has even seen seronegative RA or a slower developing RA. I think at one time, my RF was right at the cut off as well...... This Dr was the first rheumy to say he thought I had fiber as well. The others thought it was all auto immune stuff. Prednisone usually cleared everything up for me.

Well, years ago, I had some myofascial pain and they thought it could become fibromyalgia.

I have a bad disc in my neck from a fall and a car accident. I get pain up there sometimes.
