hi warriors i would like your personal opion

ive been seeing my dr since 2014 anr and my crp and sed rate fluctuate to normal then to high the highest its been is crp 7 and sed rate at 43.. she says i have fibro and something else is going on... the thing is is today she told me that she want to treat me with embrel.... but she says she has no evidence of really anything but that i keep complaining of chest wall pain and burning feeling nsaids do work for me and once in a while a medrol does pack will help but thats because i have cervicl neck problems wich causes some pain.....again she wants my insurance to pay for the embrel so she basicaly going to call it something... sero negative ankylosing sponylitis.. i was shocked im not scared its just that my gut tells me its not really that so i guess she just wants to treat the inflammtion i told her i would get back to her xrays show nothing either so i know you guys are not drs but do u guys the the inflammation numbers are high enough to jump to embrel i will get a second opinion,, thanks guys

Has your rheumatologist [it IS a rheumatologist, right?] run an HLA-B27 blood test? 95% of all people with AS are positive. You said you have cervical neck pain and I HOPE someone has taken a good look at it, as it could be AS.

I'm not sure if there was a communication problem with you and your doctor or whether the doctor is NOT a rheumatologist. A rheumatologist knows these things......or should.
