Ever since I have been diagnosed with Sjogrens(15 yrs) I have been using a humidifier at night, one, warm mist for winter and another, cool mist for summer. I went one week without a humidifier and had all kinds of problems with dry nose. What do others use for dry nose? I went back to my humidifier with much relief, BUT they are so much trouble just keeping clean knowing when to throw it away. I usually give it 2 yrs. I would appreciate any response.

I do what my Dr suggested -- put a small amount of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on a q-tip and apply inside nose. Works for me, but only because my nose dryness comes and goes. Not sure what to do with a continually dry nose. Maybe just a saline inhaler?

Thanks for responding. I lately have been trying vaseline on the cold sore that developed in my nose. It did bring some relief. I was told it won't heal the cold sore but it does stop the burning. I think this is a good idea to make this a habit. It's great to get advice from those who are experiencing the same symptom. This forum works!
