My teeth hurt. Just needed to share that with someone, as I expect nothing can be done about it till the 26th or 27th at best. I hope it isn't Sjogren's related, but in a way it doesn't matter.

Not a huge pain, but enough so I notice it. Maybe ibuprofen will help.

gosh tooth pain is the worst, I'm facing a possible root canal here soon will see the specialist on 3 January, sure hope you can get into your dentist soon, and try some oral gel might help...Hope your doing better soon.
I never related my mouth stuff to sjogrens but it might be connected, maybe talk about it with your dentists, for me I have so many auto immunine it could be those or the medications to treat them...
would be nice to know what your dentist says about that...

Hi Lynnwood. I don't know about all teeth hurting, but mouth pain can be caused by Candida. It doesn't look white on the tongue like in lupus, but appears as groves on the tongue and/or red areas in the mouth. I'm sorry you're having pain sad   I hope you still have a Merry Christmas! How old can Valtrex be and not hurt me? I had also thought of Candida, but have been too lazy to drag out older medications. And it isn't like Candida I've had before.... I might try Valtrex just for grins, can't really hurt too much!

It's not all teeth, mostly just the ones already identified as needing help soon. It is odd, however that they both failed at once.

Sorry to hear about your tooth troubles - they seem to be dogging me as well. I had a root canal 1 month ago, and am to have the crown seated next week. However, I'm still having some ominous discomfort. The dentist was able to drill etc. to put the temporary crown in without novocaine (after the endodontist did the root canal) but every now and then it sure feels like the nerve pain is back, and right in that tooth, which is not supposed to happen. Confusing. I do think Ibuprofin helps.I guess we'll seat the permanent crown with temporary adhesive to be on the safe side.

Anyway - hope your dental issues and pain get resolved. Toothaches are such a pain and so hard to ignore. How do you know if it's thrush/candida?

Sjorgrens is causing dental problems for me to. Have a tooth aching now and hoping its not a tooth but sinus or something. I'm sure if its a tooth it will finally localize.

When to dentist, had work done again. May be facing a root canal.

Mouth pain is horrendous and I sympathize with you. I use to work as a dental assistant. Sojurns disease causes the mouth to be very dry, plus the eyes are dry. A person must brush and floss their teeth 3 times a day to cut down on cavities. Dryness of the mouth multiplies bacteria.

Their are mouthrinses on the market that dont contain alcohol and soothes the oral tissues and wets the mucosa.

I take evoxac for the dry mouth and ise Biotene mouth wash.
Also use restasis for my eyes. Everything that sould be moist is dry..............

Dentist couldn't find anything wrong. Pain has pretty much disappeared.

Currently, I'm thinking, since it was upper teeth, that perhaps my sinus cavities were particularly inflamed which affected the roots of the teeth. Don't really know, but if/when pain comes back I'm going to try sinus medication (which I generally avoid) immediately.

And I'm glad my teeth are whole, of course I was imagining the worst (root canal being the worst in my mind). Really surprised nothing was found, but after xrays, poking, and prodding, I have to trust the dentist!

I too have the sinus pain. Its hard to figure out sometimes. The mouth hurts, sometimes when I have a sinus infection every tooth in my head hurts. Benn having a lot of ear issues. My ENT says sjorgrens effects the ear, nose and throat , as well as the teeth.

Hi everyone! I was dx with Sjogrens last may. Tried two meds for muscle pain. Last being cymbalta and had severe adverse reaction. Seritonin syndrome. Still have some nausea and diarrhea. Been taking pepcid and will just have to learn to cope with the myalgia and osteoarthritis pain. I use a humidifier and systane eye ointment at night. That seems to help

My nose, mouth, and eyes at night. I take 400mg of plaquinil in am and think I might divide dose to 200mg am and pm to decrease the nauseA. I've lost over 20 lbs in the last 4 weeks tired of feeling bad. Any suggestions. Also I have a rheumy, opthamologist, and pcp but no ent. Should I have one?

Depends on the the severity of the dryness. I am having continous problems with my ear. The dryness of my mouth, eyes and nose had gotten better after I was infused with Rituxan in January. Yesterday and today my left ear is stopped up, and aches, as well as every tooth in my head hurts and I have a fever blister on my lip. My nose is dry and stopped up and I have the aches again. I was supposed to see the dentist tomorrow as I have to have a crown and possible root canal. The way my teeth hurt on the left upper side I was afraid the tooth was absessing. I called the dentist today. what with the tooth ache and the fever blister I do not feel like having dental work done, postponed it again. I didn't sleep well last night and I hope everything lets me sleep tonight.

Sometimes its hard to tell what causes what and when I need the Dr. I may call the ENT tomorrow about my ear and start there.
