newbie questions about sjorgren's

hello,
I have had two AI test panels done over the last 6 months, both came back with SS-B positive at exactly the threshold of 1.0. I do not have any symptoms that I know of, no dry mouth or eyes. My joints hurt but they have for some time, and could be my Lyme or Epstein Barr. My doc said he would not yet diagnose me with it.

My ANA is 1:160.

Is two tests enough to confirm that I have sjorgren's? I would think so. Possibly early stages ? any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi lymeassassin. Unfortunately Sjogren's is not the only autoimmune disease that causes positive SSA and SSB antibodies, so without the characteristic dry eyes/mouth your doc can't definitively say you have Sjogren's. You may develop symptoms later allowing your doc to make a diagnosis. Love, Butterflake

I agree with Butterflake, you also might be in the early stages of sjogren's and that would explain the no dry eyes or mouth...If you do develop characterists then get into yourdoctor as soon as possible...or talk to your doctor about the joint pain ...feel free to posts on here even to vent...
