A member here brought up this idea and I loved it - finally did it for myself.
The idea is a box to keep under your bed filled with things to do or lift your mood on a day so bad you can't get out of bed.
I got a plastic drawer organizer thing that can double as a lap desk. I picked up a couple SMALL craft projects that I normally would enjoy, but small enough I hope they are not overwhelming. A coloring book that doesn't provoke anxiety (yeah, I'm a perfectionist about stupid things). Some dark chocolate. I plan to put in a little photo album. I might store my ipod in there too. Some dog treats and a toy to get me moving. I plan to put in encouragement cards to write to othr friends that are struggling - that lifts my mood. I should put in a timer so I can give myself permission to mope for an hour and then suck it up and try to do something upright.
Having a bad day was motivating to take action on this idea. I hope it works for me when I need it. Maybe this will help someone else?
