Paxcil for Krystals bipolar

My grand daughter Krystal went to a p-doc and she gave Paxil to her, can be treated with only paxil with out a mood stablizer?????she is bipolar and 19 years old anti-depressants could make bipolars hyper and manic >?

Is there someone looking out for her? How often is she checking with her Dr.? That is definitely worrying!

I've had manias from paxil when I was diagnosed with panic disorder but not yet with bipolar disorder.
