someone help me

I have been having "panic attacks" almost daily for a month now. I had one this morning that lasted about an hour. My heart started racing,shortness of breath,tightness in chest,left shoulder pain. I still have pressure in my chest and pain in my left shoulder blade 4 hours later. Is this normal??? I have been taking ativan as needed and it doesnt seem to be helping anymore. I had an EKG,echo and stress test done about a month ago, and they say all that was fine. Am I okay, or should I go to ER?? Someone please respond. Im terrified

Call your Dr.'s office afterhours and try to get through to a psych nurse. They may be able to adjust your meds over the phone. If they can't and you can afford to go to the ER, that is an option

Chelzie,

I have the EXACT same thing. i wish i was given ativan. i did Dialectical Behavior Therapy and they said it should help me, but the anxiety/Panic attacks still get out of control. i've had every heart test and it all came back good, so the heart Dr said it was Anxiety/Panic attacks.
