I found an idea on this forum years ago. Wanted to share it.
It is a box stored under the bed with coping activities for a bad day. Something you can do to lift your mood on one of those days when you can't get out of bed.
I picked a box that could double as a lap desk. I stuffed mine with EASY craft activities. I'm a skilled artist and generally talented with crafty things. But when I'm not well, the simplest task is impossible. My bad day box has crafts at the difficulty level for children under 10 years old. They can be completed in an hour or less. I have an adult coloring book (not XXX, just better pictures than the preschool ones) and some word puzzle books in there. If you done struggle with emotional eating, a favorite treat can be nice.
