Weekend Check In Thread!

Friday!!! Time for our Weekend check-in thread.

This is just a thread for all members to feel free to check in and let us know how you're doing, or share anything you'd like. Check-in and let us know how you're doing and how was your week... Any plans for the weekend/week?

It was a 4-day work week since Monday was a public holiday here. I had a busy work week. I feel exhausted. I can see that I will have to get work stuff done over the weekend.

My knees and feet have been paining since yesterday. It's rain-pain, so we will get some rainfall sometime soon.

My brother-in-law niece passed away yesterday morning. The family were on Easter vacation and she sick and had to be hospitalized. She was born with down syndrome. She was around 20 years. It's sad. She was fun to play with.

Apple pie sounds delicious. I do have a weak stomach when it comes to apple though. If I consume them, I make sure I will be home for at least a day or 2. Lol.

my healing thoughts regarding the passing of your b.i.l niece. and i send healing thoughts regarding your pain. if it helps any, my shoulders are gone too.

4 Granny Smith Apples
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 pre made pie crust

1. - Hollow out your apples
2. - Dice the insides of your apples & mix w/ your sugar, cinnamon & brown sugar
3. - Stuff that mixture inside of your apples

Place your apples in a baking dish w/ just enough water to cover the bottom of the dish. Cover with foi and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove the foi and continue baking for another 20 minutes. Then you can enjoy!!

REDGLI2012, Glad to hear you had a wonderful day over the weekend.

My weekend was busier than expected. I did some chores at home. Did not get to iron though. I ended up going to the house of mourning and spending sometime there. Then, my sister asked me to carry her out to exchange a top she bought. She doesn't drive.
It's a full work week ahead. I know it's going to be busy at work.

Enjoyed reading what everyone is up to. Hope your weeks are starting off good.

This weekend we smoked a pork shoulder to make pulled pork for a belated Easter gathering. It turned out really good. Now with the week returns the alcohol treatment program. probably only about a week left of the intensive portion, then 12 weeks of one session a week and 1 AA meeting a day. This is work! lol

Also just got buspar added to the line up. Since I had to come off klonopin my anxiety has been nuts. Hoping for the best with buspar.
