Thought my new meds were working, now feeling horrible again

Meds don't work for me. I may think they do for a certain amount of time but in truth...they really don't.

I have just emptied out my entire pantry of meds that 'didn't' work. It filled a kitchen garbage can. I personally think meds are detrimental to my brain and I am tapering off of them while substituting alt. therapies such as b complex vitamins, omega 3 fish oil, vitamin c, and Bach flower remedies.

I know this is an unpopular thing to do. I also realize some people can't handle being off meds because their brains are not yet able to function without the meds. It is sad that they have to go back on them due to this. I am going to do everything I can to not have this happen. I truly don't believe bipolar exists except in our minds. And our minds are powerful to tools for creating the symptomes of bipolar. But I believe I can change my thinking through meditation, spiritual practice, affirmations, and vitamin/herbal therapies. And if I think it, so shall it be.

It took me a long time-many years to get to this point and I don't recommend to those who are heavily into having the disease. This I did also and used bipolar as baby blanket to curl into when I wasn't at my best. In reality...we can't always be at our best all the time anyway.

I don't think there is anything wrong with me. I think that is a belief created by a lot of overwhelmed people in a world that is too fast, has awful nutrition, skewed values and not enough nature and simplicity.

Been on the med merry go round for years-not advocating anyone going off meds here. I'm just finally ready.
