Bi-polar, PTSD, Clinical Depression, Anxiety Disorder AND chronic Pain. These are the labels that are used to describe me by the medical profession. Don't wear a label. Find a competent Physician that can treat DUAL DIAGNOSIS, I can assure you that is what is going on. It took me 9 years of hiring and firing Dr's until I found one that was good, retired now...RATZ. Anyhow I am trying to say it takes tenacity and constant vigilance on your part to create a relationship with a physician that will listen to you and help you investigate all options. You may not feel that you can do it right now but trust me...you can. The only word of wisdom that I have is "DO NOT LET THEM GET YOU TO TAKE ANYTHING THAT WILL BE TAKEN OUT OFF YOUR Rx REGIME and CAUSE WITHDRAWAL!!!

welcome. am glad you have found a system that works for you. i follow a multi disciplinary approach. yes, years of vigilance to find the right people. right dx and rx. i believe if the medication is no longer needed then toss it. i have done many a tapering withdrawal of meds. but as you say, plenty of options, and yes i agree to look at all of these. i see a psychiatrist, therapist and general practioner, plus other relevant specialists for other conditions. i use various other coping skills. thx for sharing.
