Do we still want to have a spring get together?

I feel like I may have dropped the ball with this folks, so I'm wondering if there is still interest in doing this in the spring.  The date that had the most votes is June 10-12 and there is still time to get things ready to do it then.  I just want to make sure since there wasn't as much response to the vote as I thought there would be.  I will tentatively set aside a block of rooms (if that is possible) today with Embassy Suites in downtown Cleveland for those dates. 

 

I'm sorry if I've let anyone down with not having done more I've just not seen much interest in it since we lost Mighty Becky and I didn't want to push with all that was going on.

 

Please post your feelings on this.

Would love to come, but that is our wedding anniversary weekend (40th) and I have promised the time to DH. I hope everyone has a great time. Hugs, Lauri

Mia, I vote that we wait till early fall. That way maybe we could come up with a date sooner and more people could plan and save for it. Also, the summer vacations and running would be mostly over with. Go with the majority, but that's my two cents worth. I really need to see everyone again!

Mia, I think the loss of Becky and some of the problems with scheduling has kind of put a group meeting on the back burner for awhile. I agree with Sara that maybe next fall would be better. By then hopefully Cathi will be feeling better, too. It looks like we will be going to Cincy for only the Memorial Day weekend and my DH will be going with me. My grandson is graduating from HSand there will be an Open House for him on Sunday. The grandson and his wife who just had baby Reilly have accepted a call from Fort Meyers, FL where he will be a Youth Pastor at the First Christian Church. His mother and dad are really not excited about them moving away and that will be the last weekend before the move, so we need to be there to see them. My DH hates to be away from home, so the long weekend will be it. Later in the summer, I guess I will have to head to the other end of OH and see my mother and brother.

Don't feel like you have let anyone down. The enthusiasm has to be there with everyone and I think the wind left our sails for a bit. Last year when we planned Louisville, we had it pretty much all planned and set up two months ahead of time and everyone was enthused to go to see Becky knowing she was very ill.

When we all get thinking about a meeting, I am sure you can help us lots. Can't wait to meet you.

Early fall works for me.  Heck it all works for me, as you can tell I'm anxious to get to meet all my breast friends!  I just didn't want this to fall aside and not have some feedback as to whether to go through with the June meeting or to hold off for a while.  I will continue to offer my help in this.  And maybe I will post a poll as to dates later.

Mia, sweetie, you're just a ball of fire! I was one of the ones pushing for a spring gathering. Then my cousin Sharon died (of breast cancer, no less) and my daddy passed as well the same week. And then Becky. YIKES! It's just horrible! I probably won't have much time in the fall, but I'll certainly try to make it. Thanks for your enthusiasm.
