Hello all! Merry Christlmas! 60 y,o black male just developed a very small lump on my left breast with little bit soreness, no discharge, no nipple inversion, I am concerned waiting on the VA to call me for an ultrasound, wondering if I should go to the ER to get it done sooner to see what’s going on, possible gyneacomstai maybe???

Typically, how long do you have to wait to be seen at the VA? Can you see a dr outside of the VA like many veterans do? Hard to say about ER, not sure they will do much except say follow up with your dr. If you were in severe pain & having a discharge ER would be a good option, it would qualify as an emergency. Only uou can decide which way to go. Good luck.

Hi stray dog,
Ended up going to see my PCP and have a mammogram scheduled for 30 Jan, will keep you posted , it is depressing having some many issues popping up with my body, I decided not to do the ER thing

I am glad you saw your pcp rather than doing the ER thing. Good luck with the mammogram on the 30th. Try to think positive, we have to look forward not backwards.
