Hello everyone. I had a routine mammogram a few weeks ago that showed some microcalcifications on the right breast, my call back is tomorrow for U/S and 3 d mammogram. I read that microcalcifications can be normal with aging, and it will be the pattern and distribution of the microcalcifications that help clarify if it is anything to worry about
. Even though 60-80% of the callbacks are benign, I’m still freaking out. I’m just really scared. I don’t know why I am so petrified. I think it’s fear of the unknown and worry about
worst case scenario. Just wanted to share my anxiety here. I only have to get through one more day until my callback. Is unilateral microcalcifications more likely to be benign or not? I’m going to go take a walk. I’m just spinning out on it. Thank goodness they will let me know results right away tomorrow morning. My eye is twitching! Lol. 🤪
