Hello, everyone. Remember me? I am 2 years post op and doing well. I check in from time to time to read, but no longer post. Just came here today to vent against our disease. My 34 year old daughter was diagnosed with BC on Friday. I feel like I'm going through it again. She is very scared.

Please pray for her and her husband. She is opting for bilateral mast with implant reconstruction if nothing changes with her DCIS diagnosis.

Regards to everyone and hope every one is well. Bernadette, I'll be praying for you as well.

Hey Judy!  I am so sorry to hear this.  It's just not fair!!!  You will be your daughter's strength and will guide her through this.  And, of course, we will all be there with you as a source of strenght for you.  You both will be in my thoughts and please let us know how everything goes.

Judy, what bad news has brought you back to us. Sorry you and she are going through this, but as Kathy said, your experience will guide your daughter and you will be a great source of strength for her. DCIS is nothing to mess around with, but the good news is maybe she won't have to do chemo too? Hoping for the best outcome for you all-

Im sorry I have not responded sooner but I have not been posting very much lately. Iam Just sick to hear about your daughter. I just hate this dam* disease, it is not fair. I will pray for you and your daughter. Please come more often and post. I miss talking to you.

Judy, so sorry about your daughters diagnosis. It is much harder when it
is your child is diagnosed. Those of us that have had a daughter or son DX
with cancer know exactly how you feel right now.

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, everyone. DD's surgery is scheduled for Friday AM.

Saw my onc today. He has ordered  the ONC DX test for me.

Will let you know how itgoes.

I am so sorry I didn't read and respond more quickly, but if you read my post about my daughter you will understand. It is so much worse seeing this darnable disease hit our daughters than ourselves. My daughter was diagnosed eight years ago, two years after I was at age 39 and has just learned she has a recurrence. So we are in this boat together. A boat that neither of us wanted to sail.

I'm really bad about posting and now bad about reading posts. My daughter's double mastectomy with expanders went well. She sees her PS next week for a date for permanent implants. She is on tamixofen now and fortunately does not have to have chemo because the tumor in her breast was so small. The DCIS was extensive, though, and the surgeon said that she made a good decision.  She is a real champ about this and so is her husband. 

Thank you for your words of concern. I believe I had an easier time with myself than I have had with her disease, and now I'm going to pour a little glass of wine and read up on everyone.

(New sales job is really busy and somewhat stressful -- not as stressful as previous ones.)

Judy: I apologize for not reading your original post earlier. I am so sorry to hear about your dd's diagnosis but I am glad to hear that her surgery went well and that she won't have to endure chemo. I can't imagine how it feels to have your dd diagnosed w/ this darn disease. I have 2 dd's and live w/ that fear. But I am sure that part of your dd's positive attitude and lack of fear to make the decisions that she has made was due to your positive attitude during your surgery and treatment. She is lucky to have you to be there for her. To know that you understand how she is feeling. Please let us know how she does and also how your tests come back.

Missed seeing your posts. We are here for both of you.

Good to see you posting again, I missed you. Im sorry to hear about your daughter I have to admit that would be my worst nightmare. It sounds like she did what she needed to do and got on with her life.

And how are you doing?? I hope all is well with you. So your new job is busy and stressful, from what I remember your old job was terrible so this has to be better.

It's me here again. All is going well -- with me and with my daughter. She's had great success and her onc used the other "c" word -- cure. She was so brave and so aggressive insisting on a double mastectomy and was lucky that it was early.  I am so happy to see several of my "time" partners still here. I don't come around often-I stay so busy. 

Thanks for all the prayers in the past and I think of you guys often. I would have never gotten through without you all.

I'll try to login more often.

Hi Judy

Good to hear from you again and glad things are going good. I wish you would come and visit more often, but then I have not been posting alot either. I have been busy getting back to living my life. Things are good here, Im all healed up and feel good.

Post more often we would love to hear from you.
