I'm not sure this is quite the right disease or whatever but I haven't been diagnosed yet so I wasn't sure what to pick. Anyway, here goes.
In 2006, weeks after the birth of my daughter I had gallstones and immediately had a cholecystectomy. They told me nothing about
the risks and two years later I have finally been diagnosed with Post Cholecystectomy Syndrome and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. During the long route to diagnosis for those tummy problems I had several blood tests. Every time, for the last two years my Neutrophils have been high and my lymphocytes and monocytes have been low. Lately I started school and have access to their health clinic and after feel extremely fatigued and achy decided to go in for more blood tests just to see. They ran a barrage of tests, a CBC, metabolic panel, sedimentation rate, thryroid, amylase... once again my neutrophils are high and now my sedimentation rate is also high.
I suppose my question is, has anyone been through this before? What would be the next logical step for the doctor? I did some research but had to slow down a little because they discuss things like leukemia, and it freaks me out. Infection may be a hard one to fit as an explanation since I have had several infections and have been treated with several different rounds of antibiotics in the last two years. Anyone out there know what could be going on?
Thanks
