Hi Tree,
Welcome to Healing Well and to the chronic pain forum. I am very glad that you found us but terribly sorry to hear of your situation. I think you can safely say now, that you are not alone in having to deal with this mess. We all have our own story to tell as to why we are here but one thing we do have in common is pain and what it can do to a person, to their family and to their life. What you are dealing with and going through in an effort to reduce your pain does not sound very good from my birdseye view. But, hey, if it ends up giving you some relief, then it will be worth it. The bottom line is we all want relief and will pretty much do just about anything to get relief.
If you see the down days are happening more than the up days you may be dealing with some depression. Depression and chronic pain go hand in hand. Many of us on the forum are on medication for depression and sometimes with the right medication it can sometimes even help with the pain. So, if you feel this may be something that is happening to you, please talk to your PCP about it. It has sure happened to many of us here.
As for the person that is upset over the job, well I just would forget about the whole thing. It really sounds like no matter where or what this person does in their job they are never going to like it. It is not your fault by any means, you didn't hold a gun to their head and say hey you have to take this job. Really this person sounds awfully immature and petty. You know as hard as jobs are to get these days that person should be glad they even have a job. So, please do not let this get to you any more, jeesh just not worth it, you have bigger fish to fry. lol.
Please keep posting and let us know how you are coming along and take care.
