Painful scar

Hi littleorange. I'm afraid I can't be of much help with an answer about your scar pain, but I just wanted to welcome you to HW. I hope that you will find plenty of support here.

              Sorry you are struggling with this type of pain! Did you ask you're Dr what options you had, if any? I realize he said you may always have this pain, but did he offer a solution for you?

    If nothing can be done, then I would think pain med's of some sort would be the only solution. It would be a hassle, but maybe a numbing cream of some type?

      Many of us have had surgeries, and wind up with some sort of painful scar tissue. I experience this from my own lumbar surgery, and is in the groin area. (not fun)...Taking pain med's for my FBS (Failed Back Surgery) helps with this.

      Hopefully someone else can suggest a better direction for you. You might want to check out the "Ostomies" forum, and visit with those members over there. I'm willing to bet they deal with this sort of problem as well.

Thank you very much Pam. Yes, I found out about the ultra sound method but none of my doctors has mentioned the possibility.

In the other hand, please forgive me if I expose a total different health issue, I'm just looking for the best options for me.

I've had a chalazion on my right upper eyelid for a year or so. Also I get small sties all the time. I've visited many doctors and followed treatments but nothing has really worked out. Is there any condition to which I've should be looking at? Something related to healing/scarring/skin conditions that I haven't heard about?

Many of my problems are related to my skin, yet I have never had this many problems as now.

Once again sorry for asking for something completely out of topic, I would appreciate your comments.
