I like Monday check-ins, lol....

It's a typical, CRAZY Monday here. Lots going on....

The fentanyl patch is working well for me. I need to go up to 75mcg and I think I'll be stable!! (I'm on a breakthrough med, and nerve meds and all that - but my "pain meds" haven't been stable since about September)... It's been a long time coming....

I've been having chest pains today, though and my chronic BP is way up. I made an appt to see my cardio for next week... but he told me to go to ER if it gets any worse. The stress of life isn't changing... so I'm praying they can adjust my heart meds and so forth.

Well, I gotta run -but hope those that can, will check in today! Thinking and praying for you all. Yes, and welcome to any new members!

Hi Tina, glad you are finally getting some relief. I thought you were already on fent. but you know my memory, it's nil, loll

How is your weather there?

Myself, the pain is often just too much and it's hard to cope. Sometimes i can cope better but not lately. I don't get any relief so it is difficult to plug away at each day. But me and my ice packs have dates every day, lol.
The weather is nice here, very atypical for march but certainly loving it.
I am still waiting to get calls back from medtronic and st. jude for the ONS. Let's hope they come soon.
Otherwise, not much new.
Loving my time with my grandson when he comes for a visit. he is growing too fast though.
Hubby is off today and cleaning up his boat while the weather is nice. He's itching to go fishing.

Hey everyone! I've been up since 7am, ready for an appointment, but had to cancel due to car troubles. Ugh!

I've feeling sorta normal pain level today, not as bad as I am sometimes, but not low either. My appointment today was to try and get on a different pain med, so it kind of sucks that I had to cancel that. Luckily, I got it changed to this Thursday so I won't have to keep dragging myself through this. :P

One thing that I am loving, however, is the weather. It might be rainy right now, but overall the temperature here has been great and I'm just so looking forward to warmer weather!

I just wrote an update on my post, but thought I would update here as well. I will be getting my pain meds in a few days as someone in the office has written them and they are sending them to my pharmacy. I'm going thru withdrawls and my back is hurting, but knowing I'll have my meds in the next few days helps a bit.

The weather here is beautiful. Bright sunshine and in the 70s the last few days. We have been breaking records around here. We're supposed to have 70s I think tomorrow will be in the 70s the next couple of days and then in the 60s a couple of days and fifties at the end of the seven day forecast.

I hope others let us know how things are going.

……..I actually think I'm making some progress here! Dr changed some med's, and at first I did not think it was working, but I seem to have had a change in the last 48hrs. smilewinkgrin

It has been gradual…but steady. I'm hope that it will continue! While there are other issues, this is a big one for me.

I slept very late today: until about noon! I took some xanax to sleep, and even after 7 years of it, I still can't even take .5mg. I took about 2/3 of one and it knocked me out!

My wonderful wife brought me coffee and encouraged me to finally get up. I then checked email and returned to my book. I'm now finished all but the last chapter and have been editing.

After some work editing work, I then turned to taxes! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! My wife received a 1099-MISC form in the amount of $50 that has turned into a nightmare. For $50, just $50 bloody dollars, there's all these business forms that have to be filled out for federal and state. Apparently, earning $50 as a guest teacher makes her into a sole-proprietor business.

Other than that, I've been thinking about my PM visit in 2 days. Although he told me to use more BT meds, I can't get over psychological stress related to it. Even today, after getting up at noon, I needed a BT med at 1:30pm or so (very damp and rainy here) and think I need another already (5:45pm).

Bad Monday! cry Couldn't go to work because of the pain. Had several tests for Rhematological disorders that were negative so the Rhematologist said there is nothing he can do for me. Spend another weekend in the ER. Neurologist said it's just a migraine. Never had migraine's so I consulted with my sister who has chronic migraines to see if it's possible to have a migraine without a headache. She informed me that it's definitely not a migraine. Muscle weakness and pain all over the body paired with extremely dry eyes, GI problems, Raynolds and always freezing cold, nerve pain down one leg, muscle cramps, restless leg syndrome, aches in my hands and feet, dizziness, and pins and needle sensation all at once. Tried to take a bath to see if it would help the pain but the bath felt freezing cold. My husband assured me it was not cold at all. I shivered all night. Hope others are doing better than me.

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I've been pretty absent from here lately, been dealing with a lot of things. I'm really struggling trying to do 4 classes and my part time job, even though it's from home these 4 classes are taking all of my time. My pain's been pretty bad, that's why I've not really been on here much. I had an MRI this morning and will get results in a couple of days- we already know what's wrong from last MRI in 2010, but PM Doctor wanted to see if things have gotten worse. I'm glad he ordered another one because I'm hoping it will tell us why my pain persists. The pollen has been out the roof here, so been dealing with bad headaches as well. Allergists say that 120 is a high pollen count, well here today it was 8,164! That is no joke! I'm taking allergy pills and using my netipot, but not getting any results. To top things off, my step dad had a really bad seizure last night- Mom came home from work and found him in bed unresponsive and had no clue who she was. She had him taken to the ER by ambulance and they said today that it was a seizure (they didn't know last night) and that it's probably from a medication he's on, but he has to be on that medication. So, no clue what they will do with him and when he will get out of the hospital. OK, I wrote too much, sorry about that. Hope everyone is hanging in as much as possible! *hugs*

Hillary, I'm sorry about your Dad *hug*

The short story with me is that my pain is out of control. I've been told that my back problems are inoperable - between the way the bones fractured and my osteoporosis, surgery would do more harm than good. My CRPS is bad, bad, bad. I'm having my SCS revised and having another ketamine infusion done towards the end of April.
