Went to the doc today, lost 4 1/2 pounds yay. The doc has ordered new MRI's and put me on time release morphine twice a day, muscle relaxers 3x a day and doubled my Gabapentin. I may actually sleep for more than an hour at a time and not wake up screaming because I moved an inch.

Kaely I am happy for you, I certainly hope this works for you. Sometimes there are just no words that can explain the extreme relief we feel when our pain fades into the background.

Hard to tell if it's working today, because I way overdid it yesterday. So lame, my 73 year old aunt can run circles around me...

Keep in mind it usually takes a few days when changing up or adding medication, so give it all time to get in synch together. Just because you start feeling good, careful as you go and pace yourself.
Take care....Susie

Well, it's been three full days of these meds and the relief is wonderful. I'm still in pain but it's so much more tolerable now. I realize that my pain is just hiding and I'm being careful. Pretty happy I can sit up for a few hours in a row now :) I just hope this lasts until I can get surgery.

You're right there, Rose! Nothing is worse than being in constant pain.
It's so nice to be able to sleep for more than an hour at a time. I can sit up for a few hours now and I can walk around my house a bit. That's enough to make me happy :)
