Yep... you guessed it. It's Monday (again). Hope to see everyone checking in.... letting us all know how you are doing.... how you "survived" the weekend... and what you've got planned for the week ahead.

Hi Tina. It's freezing cold here...with windchill it barely made it above zero yesterday. We've got the fire burning and I'm keeping close and trying to stay warm. I've still got my bronchitis/pleurisy... not coughing as badly now, but my chest is painful and if I do anything even as energetic as making a cup of coffee I start wheezing like crazy.

I'm seeing my GP again next week to talk over what I do about the Cymbalta. I'm not sure myself. No pain relief. My mood is sometimes better...but sometimes terrible, and I'm so, so tired that it's a serious problem trying to function. On top of my regular fatigue problems I'm just so, so tired. Seeing my GI doc next week too. My latest ECG showed ST changes as well, which can indicate ischcaemic damage or strain damage.it was my GI doc who ordered the test, so we'll see. I'm a bit scared. If it has ruled out the cisapride as an option for me, it means I have to look seriously at a PEJ :-(.

Good news is that my parents are home from their holidays now and my brother and his GF have finally gone home ... Yay!

My first check-in. I've been a member for many yr's and consider the HW-chronic pain forum the best on the web.. IMO-WEB-MD doesn't come close to the people and info I've obtained on HW.
My weekend was not so good, My left shoulder has finally collapsed (the end of the humerus is making a crunching noise) and the bursitis in my new hip just won't go away.(total hip 11/11)and when walking the hip pops in and out. But with everthing thats going on I am use to it. It's amazing how we can cope with different problems when parts of the body slowly disintegrate. I will start making the calls today to start the process to replace my left shoulder. Otherwise everything's OK.. I hope everyone has a great Monday. R.Beck

Laura.... Hi - I've been thinking of you; good to hear an update. I hope that nasty bronchitis goes away quickly... I'm sure your weather isn't helping matters. Glad the parents are home, too. Hope you figure out what else is going on... I'm sure the bronchitis isn't helping your fatigue level either. Feel better my friend.

R.Beck - Welcome back! I'm sorry you had a painful weekend... but I'm glad to see you posting!

As for me... it's 4am - and I'm up w/ pain once again. Honestly, I'm to the point where I'm starting to consider the pain pump again. My pain is affecting every aspect of my thoughts, sleep, etc.

Other than that - the weekend would have been really good. My other health issues are somewhat stable for the first time in a long time. Got a lot accomplished over the weekend... plus had good times w/ my kiddos.

The week ahead is busy w/ upcoming 4th of July stuff - consuming the next few nights.... Just trying to be patient and get through to my PM appointment in about 10 days.

      Good Morning all! wink

           ...Late Friday night I slapped on a new Fentanyl patch,....and Sat morning we hit the road, starting with breakfast, and then to the malls to find Mrs. Scream some summer cloths. I have to say that I have always been able to dress her, and again I did well, and finished up with 22 outfits..many of them on sale at $7 each! smilewinkgrin

     ....we then went home, showered and off to the movies!...and a nice dinner after that. Then we topped it all off by ridding go-carts! I knew better, but the wife loves them and enjoys the compitition! We both raced twice, each winning one race! cool  ...I knew as soon as I got off of them, I was going to pay for it, and I did the next day! shakehead ...Sunday, I slept in most all day nursing my lower back with BT med's.

    rjbeck!...we happen to agree with you, and are glad you enjoy the CP forum! wink

       Laura!...you have been missed here, but know that you have serious health issues. Were just glad the parents are home now, and that things have settled down for now.

Wow, almost got my new computer up. I put the power supply, motherboard, fans in the case, hubby attached the cpu and heat sink, and we have a ton of cables to hook up yet...and I'm taking pictures as we go, I did upgrade the power supply. So hopefully by weeks end this new computer will be up, typing on a nook is so irratating to no end. And hurttful. Well wishes to all.

We took of with the kids yesterday to stop up to a friend's and pick up rhubarb. I'm hoping to be able to go and get some strawberries at some point this week and make a couple of batches of jam.

While we were out yesterday we took the kids up to Cundy's Harbor, Orr's Island and Bailey's Island. They had a great time collecting seashells and sea glass.

Got up this morning and took them all out to Mackworth Island. Then home to hang out in the pool for a bit. We all just came back in, the sky's gotten really dark and looks like another thunderstorm is coming through.

Laura, wish I could send you some of this warmer weather. I'm not missing the cold. It'll be back soon enough. Hope you get feeling better soon.

I had a pretty decent weekend. Electricity has been a bit erratic due to the storms but otherwise things are going ok.

Hi everyone Our weekend went ok. My pain was not too bad until tonight. It keeps getting worse and then better. Back and forth. I can't figure out what's going on. I guess it's the humidity that has came up tonight.

As far as this week goes, I don't have any appointments, and we don't have any plans for the 4th yet. I guess we will probably go to Buffalo to the place they will be having music and stuff, and fireworks at dusk.

I hope you're all having a low pain evening.

Having a bit of a roller coaster ride with the back pain this week because I've been doing to much going. Other than that had a nice weekend with family. A lot more going over the next few days with the 4th right on us so I expect things will be the same until I can slow down again. Best Wishes and low pain levels to everyone.

Laura I hope you get your respitory back in shape. Just wondering what part of the world your at? I'm in the triple digits "Alabama". Tina I hope you can atleast get some rest and your pain managed! Screamingeagle cracked me up about Mrs.Scream !!!LOL I walked around the local flea market and really set my feet off!!! I love doing stuff like that and any DIY stuff to keep myself busy. Today I got up on a ladder and wired in an antique barn light on my shed. Dont worry it wasn't high only 3 steps.

My weekend was busy.  We took our motorhome to  a local dirt track on friday where he is the assistant starter at the track.  We still dont have propane into our refridgerater and stove.  i have been using our 2 burner camp stove but a cooler to keep food cool.  hard when it is over 100 degrees.  A friend stopped by saturday afternoon with 3 bags of ice for us.  and that lasted until monday.  We came home 2:00 am monday. 

 

Our 2 sheltie dogs love to go to the races with us.  They eat and sleep very well

 

I need crock pot recipies

 

Today I slept alot and took my meds on time.   

 

Our weekends will be like that until the end of September

 

This weekend we will  be boondocking in race track parking lots friday ,sat, and sunday.  No electric hookups or public water.

Thanks all of you. Still wheezing and a fair bit of chest pain, but not coughing so much now.

Worthit... Those temps are celsius, but I'm in SE Australia. We have pretty good extremes here - though it's colder than normal at the moment. We hit the low 40's (C) in summer without too much trouble. Yuck...

I can admit I am in no condition to be full time care giver to my grandsons, I called in reinforcements my oldest daughter will be here soon to take them home with her so granny can rest.
