Positive, supportive, words of encouragement from family & friends, even your doctors, that have helped you when you needed it most.

I cannot think of any, except from people here on these forums.

I just want to hear it'll be okay. I feel horrible all day long and I want to know that eventually it will be alright. I look forward to the days I am alright and can go do things instead of the usual play it safe.

I thought of a couple.. kinda

"How do you feel??" (& really want to know & listen to my answer!!!)

'How can I help you".. I must say that, If anyone is home when I come back from shopping they DO always ask. "can I help you?". However, noone wants to help me clean up my home in any way..

Hi Everyone,

Believe it or not the only person that ever said something that really made me feel better was my plumber. He said it must be so hard for you to be so sick and a single mom. You are doing such a great job I think your son is great, he is really kind and I can tell how smart he is.

This is in contrast to my mother who wrote in her address book, Anna is a terrible parent.. I needed to find an address and she left her book while I was recovering from rotator cuff surgery. I was beyond crushed.. why are family members more cruel than strangers?

& I am sure it is true !!

I have no idea why some family members are so hurtful.
And they sure can be !!

Do you get attention? Sympathy?
Maybe she is Jealous? My father told me once that I should look at my (early) life & compare it to my mom's. I did. She was treated badly. I was not. He said she did not realize why she was jealous.. though I would use the word angry.

Is why I left home as soon as I could & stayed away a lot. Glad my dad knew I loved both of them but needed to preserve my sanity.. mom just took it as rejection. Dad understood.

Anyway just thought I would pass that on ..

Thanks for your kind response. Hard sometimes to figure out parents. I hope I didn't put a damper on your positive thread. I haven't posted on this forum a lot, but I really feel like there are kind and caring people here. It's funny because I check on you guys everyday and I include you in my healing prayer.
