Just recently watched a depressing documentary called "American Addict"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFisyyupY-E It's called American Addict. Not sure if it has been discussed yet.
Really frustrate the hell out of me. They had many so-called professional basically make light of depression and chronic pain with, while sad, stupid anecdotal evidence. Such as a 25 year old who, according to the mother of the deceased, didn't really have any pain issues...OD on oxycontin.
Or an eldery woman pressured to take an AD because her husband recently passed...even though she insisted to the doctor that she was just a little sad, not depression.
Silly, one sided arguments found in many-a-crappy documentaries.
What frustrated the most..was that it was at FOUR STARS on netflix!(It has gone down a bit since yesterday. But only by a 1/4 of a star.
I feel there are some big issues with Big Pharma.
But just like the issues with those falsifying their condition to get painkillers...you can't make a sweeping generational that EVERYONE/EVERYTHING needs to be eradicated.
I know I'm preaching to the choir...but I had to vent.
Been arguing with a few online who love the documentary. They basically say, "take natural remedies for pain! Experience life for depression! Don't make yourself numb!"
Seems they know
exactly what it's like to live in my shoes....riiiight ;)
