Once laws like this are passed there is no turning back. Everyone is up in arms after the fact, but they don't contact those that represent them before the laws are passed. I agree with you that it has little to do with patient access when it comes to pain meds.

I just watch some documentary about Florida pill mills. It makes me so sad and angry that it is a big reason the dea is cracking down. How dare junkies have better access to getting more pain meds than me and people who really have pain. It's so backwards, I personally don't get hassled or anything about my meds, but know how much it's taken me to get where I am. Numerous doctor visits, mri's, physical therapy, major surgery etc....not to say it was all uessless, but it still have lots of pain after all that. I think it's a bunch of crap, that these doctors actually get these people more and more addicted without most needing them to function. Hopefully this can be, fixed and it's not too far into it...
