Hi Abilene, very sorry to read about your experience! Hopefully, this will be an event you never experience again too. It's amazing what an extremely stressful event can do to a person. Many people have no idea something like this could cause a heart attack. From what I have read this is usually a one time event, certainly hope this is true for you. Please let us know about your echo results. ANd, how is your new knee doing?
I have an incident a little like yours. Had not been feeling very well. This was back in my working days. My job was a high stress job & fast paced. I called my PCP & was given an appt. So, I go in & my BP was high & my EKG was abnormal. He said I think you may be trying to have a heart attack you to go to ER. He we can call am ambulance or your husband. I said no ambulance & in traffic it would him too long to get here, I will drive to ER. He made me sign a form relieving him of any liability, lol. Like you, I ended up having a cath done which showed no blockage thank goodness. Turns out I was having spasms.
Back in 2013, I ended up in ER. The last thing I can remember is my daughter being here on Saturday evening. I woke up that Wednesday evening after being out all those days. I had a blood clot hit my left lung, severe aggravation of COPD, & the cardiac enzymes showed I had a mild heart attack. I wasn't breathing on my own & not responsive. No real clear cut reason given as to what brought this on either. They thought the blood clot came from my legs, poor circulation possibly. I had also had my 2nd pain pump implanted 3 weeks before this happened, so who knows. As a result of the unknown I am extremely leery of having any further surgery & I have 2 that I have been putting off out of fear. The drs told my husband & kids if there was relatives out of town they should be called. Other than some BP issues, still hanging around.
