wound care therapy

greetings one and all. first i'd like to wish everyone a happy easter and hope we're all doing as well
as can be.
pretty sure this might be off topic and i apologize for that. looked up and down the diff. forums
and didn't see anything that might apply to this topic.
anyway for the last 12 days i've had a device called a pico and it uses negative air pressure (vacuum)
to help heal wounds. you're to wear it for about 7 days and then the doctor replaces it depending
on how well the healing goes.
i'm wondering if anyone her may have used/or heard of the device before. being that it is the weekend
i won't see the doctor til monday.
located on the device is 3 diff. lights and audio alarm to inform the wearing of how it is operating.
green is working ok, orange indicates a low/or no vacuum and a red for low battery.
mine now is in the orange. no instructions came with it but the nurse had mentioned that if
something like this happens i could try smooth over application that it can help to make a good seal
haven't had much luck with that approach but i've tried quite a few times with no luck.
my right heel is where the application is. i'm being treating a pressure ulcer on the bottom.

Have you Googled this? I just did and found several different bits of information. The one I just read did not have a red light but the orange light also indicated time for batteries to be changed, so I guess that's not what you have.

Try finding some markings on the unit telling you it's number or distributor. Perhaps you could Search for that and find user information. If you can't do that easily I would certainly attempt calling the doctor who gave it to you. They possibly have after hours answering service or some method to help you. I hope so!
