Yes, between the two (stem cell and PRP), autogenic PRP is the safer option.
Under NO circumstances should anyone consider a donor-sourced stem cell or PRP injection/infusion. Besides the risk of infection from contamination of the donated cells, there is the risk of the immune system identifying and attacking the donor cells as “foreign” (similar to donor rejection seen in organ transplants) - a scenario that could lead to organ failure (kidney, liver) or death.
As your pain involves the spine/vertebrae, I would be very, very hesitant to consider either PRP or stem cell “therapy.” It is one thing to inject PRP into a knee with articulations surface arthritis and bone wear and tear. There is a whole different level of concern where a proposed injection is close to the spinal canal and flow of cerebral spinal fluid. The results could be catastrophic or certainly permanently adversely life-affecting (stroke, paralysis, meningitis, encephalopathy).
My opinion: Neither PRP nor stem cell injection/infusion are worth the risk.
Be careful.
