I saw the chiropractor yesterday. He explained my x-rays to me. Besides degenerative disc disease, which I've known about for a few years, he says I have osteoporosis and arthritis in my lumbar and sacral spine now.

This explains why the pain is worse and I get no relief anymore, laying down or doing my stretches.

His office is almost an hour away, so he gave me the name of someone closer to my home. I'll also be seeing my primary care physician about treatment options.

I actually slept better last night. Maybe just having an answer helped.

1 day, it was a monthly injections that I gave myself. I did not have any issues at all giving myself the shot. I did not have any side effects. This has been many years ago & I cannot think of the name of the medication.

I understand the fear of the potential side effects. I have crohns disease & was on a couple of the medications like what you see on tv, listing all of the potential side effects. They are required by law & the FDA to do, however, it doesn't mean it will happen to every individual. If we look up everything we take they all some potential of causing something.

I already had one compression fracture & sure didn't want anymore. Soft bones can dangerous for us.
