does the heat make the pain worse?

Does the heat bother anyone else? I don't mean, you can't wait for fall or winter, I mean does it bother your muscles? When it gets sticky hot or the humidity gets high enough to smack the weather man it feels like my muscles get heavier. Their already heavy enough so I don't need any help from the weather to drag me down. I know the pool will help but it's getting there that feels like a trip to the moon. Wasn't someone suppose to set up a "whining day"? Remember? Once a week we could whine about stuff. I have my "whining for the week" ready. Either it's too hot or it's raining!

I am right with both of you. It is so hot here in Pennsylvania with the humidity and 90s that I just want to melt. Anytime I step outside its either early morning or evening, and even then the sweat drips off me and its a struggle to go far.
I keep to my air conditioned rooms and pray the electric bill is not too high this month. Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons for their temperatures, breezes, flowers, and changing leaves. I love the sun, but not the humidity.
And yes Kat, the pool helps, but we have to get there first! If I can drive I can get there, its not too far, but lately I have not been able to drive. Have you ever tried just sitting in a cool bath or shower?

Here's to praying for cooler days, or at least days of less humidity!

      ...it hit 111 degrease here a couple of days ago...and I just can't take the heat at all...it's miserable, and certianlly won't help matters when hurting all the time. I know many don't like the cold, but bring it on!..love the snow and ice as well.

        I feel terribly sorry for those who cannot get out of the heat, and I'm greatful I work indoors this time of year.

      The Bike ride to work in the early mornings is Heaven though....but late afternoon ride home is sweltering!

I am totally the opposite of you guys, lol. The heat feels good on my bones, but its just too hot here in Tx to be outside unless it about 5:30am. That is when I am outside watering everything down including me. My Dilaudid causes me to sweat something awful whether its hot or cold.

The central air is killing me and my joints. Since I am having a major problem with a shoulder I wear a hoodie in the house because its so cold in here. We are in a two story and we have the thermostat set low in an effort to cool the upstairs some. When I am in my car I have the AC on with a couple of windows down because the cold air just makes me ache. If I remember right Whitebeard has owned up to wearing a hoodie inside too, lol.

Chart is south of me and she has terrible humidity, my son is in her neck of the woods working this summer. He is an electrician and this job he is running is outside and two of his guys had heat strokes last week and had to be carted off to the hospital. He tells me the heat there is horrible, worst he has ever been in. According to my computer its 104 right now at 3 in the afternoon. My pool feels almost like bath water. I am ready for a break from this heat.

Loretta...Did you ask your landlord yet if you could purchase an air conditioner for your apartment? i hope he approves it for you...get a doctors script for it ..maybe that would help

Loretta..That's what I say all summer long. You can add clothes in the winter but you can't take skin off in the summer. We have fans too except for our bedroom and it's got to be heat stroke hot because like straydog mentioned air condition makes my rods(fusion) hurt. When I have drs apps in the summer I take my heavy jean jacket with me because the air condition is always turned up so high that when I leave usually my nose is cold. Murphy's law isn't funny it's evil!

Sounds good to me right now Trudy. We got a ton of fresh, cool air today. It seemed like it was fall today, compared to what it was yesterday. It only got into the mid 70s today with no humidity. Felt wonderful. It was crazy though, about 5pm my back started hurting really really bad. I didn't understand that.

No. I haven't asked about the air conditioner yet. I'm afraid they will say no, when about a quarter of the apartments in this complex have small air conditioners that all look alike which makes me think that they put them in those, and not the others. When I do ask, they better not say no. I'll ask why part of the apartments have them, and the rest don't. I believe we really need one because of my health problems, and also I wear Fentanyl patches. It has been so hot in here that I felt sick.
