Hi im new ,I am under the hospital for neck pain that goes down my arm and severe pins and needles down arm and hand.just started physio but shes only going to see me 3 times if no better as thinks ive got a slp disc in my neck and might need a op and going refure me for a MRI. would love to hear from anyone who has had this problem.xxx

Hi Airbags and welcome to the chronic pain forum. I am sorry that you are having such a time with your neck. Once you have an MRI done on your neck and depending on what it shows, then you will find out whether or not you will need surgery. There various type of surgery too that can be done. The pins & needles you describe sounds like a pinched nerve. They can do surgery to release the pressure off of the nerve. For your sake, I hope conservative care will take care of your problem.

We have several members here that have had neck surgery. With it being a weekend and a holiday, it tends to be a little slow at the forum. However, sit tight as they will get to the forum and share their experiences.
