I returned home this weekend from nearly a month in Canada.
I was a guest researcher at one of their universities and was kept quite busy. More or less, I had a research presentation every other day, with other days mostly taken up by conversation.
So, instead of working at home, as I primarily do here, I had to spend my time in an office. At first, I had a lot of pain because of the set-up, but with some adjustments, that got better.
In addition, the bed in the place where I was staying was VERY comfortable. I wasn't waking up with the pain I usually have, and so since my return have discussed with my wife getting a new bed (even though this is our second in 2 years!).
That bed was an extra-firm memory foam. We've tried such before, but it softened up and within a few months, had an indentation. Our current bed is of the traditional sort, but has a pillow-top. One way or another, I think I need one VERY firm. With the wife, I think we're going to give up on our King mattress and instead get two Twin-XL mattresses with a foam bridge so that there is no gap between us. Any suggestions in that regard would be appreciated.
