1st time trying to get my Medtronics pain pump refilled

I went to get my Medtronics pain pump refilled. I had my pump implanted first in November. I was on the table on my back for 20mins. They couldn't get the needle inside the pump. They said my pump has tilted and to come back on Monday. I never heard of my pump tilting. I called my surgeon and he wants me to come see him tomorrow asap. I know I have lost weight. I just don't know why it has tilted.

Hello & welcome to the forum. Yes, a pump can tilt. I am going to guess that your PM dr does not do his/her refills under guided imaging, some drs do & some don't.

Try not to stay up worrying all night, see what the surgeon has to say tomorrow. Let us know how your appt goes.

He used a florascope machine and tried with a 22 gauge needle to suck out the rest and couldn't get past the access point. I'm so frustrated.
