I try to capture all the joy of every minute of my life in all things around me . In nature, people ,and what i do with my own hands . Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may not come, all we have is now. I think it was well put in the saying,," yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery , but today is a gift, thats why they call it,, the present ." We all fall down, we all crawl at times but we all get up again. This is life. Find joy in it.
Well said. Even thou I'm probably the last person who do this since my last relapses, but I disparately try to enjoy every moment I can get.

When I feel myself going downhill, I make a checklist for each day and reward myself whenever I:
* get some exercise
* talk to someone (even if this is just the checkout lady in the supermarket)
* get some sun and / or fresh air
* do something that used to give me pleasure, even if it's only for a few minutes (e.g. craft, read a book, whatever)
It helps, because these are basic self-care steps that are supposed to help with depression.
I also make sure I tell my doctors when my mood is dropping.
Hang in there.

Funny, I too try to treat myself whenever I just feel like it to change the mood, sometimes its just spontaneously. Even thou it might seems silly to others, but hey, their not the ones with the Crohn's. But the the chechlist is a really good idea, thanks for sharing it :)
I only wish if their is someone I can talk too, my friends are great, but I just sometimes don't feel comfortable telling them. Maybe because they wouldn't understand, I'm really not sure. And I can't be too honest with my family on everything regarding my health because I'll just make them worry over me. I'm just glade for the Internet so I can talk to others. Sometimes I just write down what I feel in paper or in my note book.
