I was at the grocery store today and found a tea called lemon Ginger herb plus probiotics by bigelow. I bought it and it is really quite good (decaf btw). I read the ingredients and in it is a spore forming patented bacterium called GanedenBC30. Got curious and read about
it a liitle (on my cell phone so not a lot). It appears that it survives extreme temps and pressure because it is a spore until it hits the intestines. Just thought I'd post it in case some of you folks want to check it out. GanedenBC30 does seem to have some studies behind it to show that it helps colonize the digestive tract with good bacteria and that it maybe helpful for ibders. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Thanks for posting this. I drink a lot of tea and always looking for a new one to try. I looked up info on this tea and the probiotic strain is the same strain in the Sustenex and Digestive Advantage supplements.
I also thought it was interesting because this tea has lemon verbena in it and that has been said to aid digestion and it has been used to help treat Candida.
Seems like a good tea for us Crohnies!

Bummed, another negative to this small town we moved to, no tea! We only have 2 small grocery stores in town so I wasn't surprised, but really wanted to try this tea! Another thing my mom will have to add to her groceries to send me!

This response goes out to PV: i've been feeling cruddy lately, and was wondering about
that tea you spoke of-does any grocery store have it or do you have to go to a health food store? Been feeling pretty cruddy lately!! Thanks!!Silvergriz

silvergriz,
I have found just calling your local stores is usually your best bet, that way you do not have to be out hunting for something when you feel bad.
I hope you feel better,

Hi silvergriz. I'm sorry you're feeling cruddy. I picked it up at my regular grocery (Kroger). If you don't find it at your grocer, you can order it online:
