Agree with Nanners and Jenn. I have had numerous surgeries, and adhesion pain will come around eventually to me anywhere from 2 mos to 2 years post-op. I can tell because it is a sharp pain for no particular reason, as opposed to a more achy feeling which I think is the inflammation. Also, I had experience with a stricture pain, which was more like a side stitch pain (but for me it was located in lower left quadrant). I would feel THAT pain if I was doing a particular stretch with a twist to it.
And then there is the totally mind-blowing pain of partial/full obstruction. Where you are literally crawling and crying so you can make it to the toilet - haha. OK well that's depressing reading all that info I just gave you - lol

there is also the possibility that it is referred pain, altho for me, that was usually to my back. It is amazing how everything is connected - my chiropractor and pain doctor both agree :)
