For those who have had CD surgery

It does sound like your disease activity may well have returned to or very near the resection site. Look to stronger meds, different meds, increasing current med doses, whichever to try to dampen any disease activity.

I agree with CrohnieToo, that it very well could just be the return of your disease. They say it usually does come back where they reconnected it. Or perhaps your dealing with some scar tissue? I know I still get pain where my gallbladder once was. I had an ultrasound even several years ago for it, and they said I just had a bunch of scar tissue paining me.

Agree with Nanners and Jenn. I have had numerous surgeries, and adhesion pain will come around eventually to me anywhere from 2 mos to 2 years post-op. I can tell because it is a sharp pain for no particular reason, as opposed to a more achy feeling which I think is the inflammation. Also, I had experience with a stricture pain, which was more like a side stitch pain (but for me it was located in lower left quadrant). I would feel THAT pain if I was doing a particular stretch with a twist to it.
And then there is the totally mind-blowing pain of partial/full obstruction. Where you are literally crawling and crying so you can make it to the toilet - haha. OK well that's depressing reading all that info I just gave you - lol

Also, from years of different pain experiences there is also the possibility that it is referred pain, altho for me, that was usually to my back. It is amazing how everything is connected - my chiropractor and pain doctor both agree :)

That sounds like it suds, it seems if I move a certain way if my pants when I bend hti the area or sometimes it has no rhyme or reason it just happens the pain will brig me to my knees it is so intense but it goes away as fast as it comes on. It does feel like nerve issues was just odd to me as to why it is increasing as time passes

Per my scope in Sept 09 (medicare only covers it every 2 yrs) there was mild/mod active disease still there so I was placed on the entocort I am now on imuran since I need to get off entocort since the longer u r on it the less effective it becomes. my CRP however has still been elevated prior to being placed on the imuran (hasnt run it since)
