Had a few 'gotta love having Crohn's disease' moments today!

The first was when I realised I'm virtually immune to the hot tap....
You know your aches are bad when you have a shower without turning on the cold water to soothe your muscles!

The second was just now, two hours of trying to sleep yet I am so nauseated I have resulted in trying to build a lil fort to sleep sat up.

I think my final one before I eventually nod off will be knowing I have a week off over thanksgiving and I am so grateful I will be able to sleep! For a whole week! Sod the food that never does me any favors! ;)

Gotta love crohns?

I hope you are getting some care for the symptoms. I don't know your whole situation, just wanting to make sure you are taking care.

Nausea is what happens to me when there is inflammation going on. My disease is in the TI. How are you doing--do you know if your disease is active? Hope you feel better and have a great break from work.

I have no idea if it is active right now!!! I suffered a virus any took antibiotics assuming those upset my stomach, yet after 2 nearly 3 weeks later I'm piecing together a lot of my 'crohns symptoms' so I'm assuming something is happening!

I have a blood test and appt in approx 2 weeks I think I can manage till then! I always assumed my nausea was aggravated by my azathioprine espesh now I am on a high dose! It could be both though as I have my crohns there too!


Had a new moment today, woke up with severe red eye (one of my symptoms) now the new English girl really does look freaky! ;)

Thanks for your concerns :) I am a tad too high spirited for me to be convinced anything serious is going on yet haha! But I certainly will not hesitate conatacting the nurse should I have to!

Were you taking probiotics while you were taking antibiotics? What are your BMs like? There's always a risk of c. diff. :/ Hope you're feeling better!

Aww novice, just try not to be too strong for your own good. I know I tend to wait for things to be at their worst before I go see someone. It has bitten me back several times (the first time was my worst and just this month I was stubborn again and am paying for it).
It sounds like your are in at least what I call a mini flare to a full flare. The antibiotics may have kicked it in to start for you. If you aren't seeing the doc soon, at least be really careful on foods and hydration. Keep us up to date.....I am watching you :-)

I can relate to both of those. Hang in there!!

I just had a Crohn's moment, when my wife came home from the pharmacy with the whole Manufacturer's bottle of Asacol. :)

Been there with the sleeping in the upright position thing. Gotta find the position that is most comfortable otherwise sleep is a luxury.

Thanks for your concerns! I think something is up but I can't honestly say that something hasn't been iffy/not completely right for a while now! I promise I will call the doctor if it gets any worse, I have too much to do to afford getting seriously caught up in crohns moments! :)

I wasn't on any probiotics at the time of antibiotics no! They never did much for me but I probably just never found the right one to be honest I'm a little impatient sometimes! I do however have a lol stash in the fridge now though!

Stinky! Lol! I have something similar, I'm sure we all have a cabinet we all call out personal pharmacy.... Well I pretty much have an entire closet! Hahaha my friends know I probably have everything in my handbag! (I was wondering is there a way we can donate or whatever meds that we no longer take before they go out of date?? I have 3 or 4 humira pens!!!)

Jab you are so right people often mistake us for being lazy, but not only do we NEED more sleep, we have a hard time getting any, spesh between the nausea and steroid influxes insomnia eh!

I'm so pleased to be able to reach out to people on here! I recently spoke about having an illness in class and I was asked what helped me come to terms with it, and I had to say it was the experiences and support shared by people like you on forums such as this! Thank you all :)

when you say you woke up with "red eye"  is not allergy related?  The reason i ask is because i've woke up 3 different times with the whites of my eyes completey blood shot and I didn't know what was causing it, so i treated it with allergy eye drops.  It lasted several days but, i didn't think it was a symptome of Crohns.  So could this be a result of the crohns?

No I've had it before, when I came down with an arthritis reaction too both of my eyes became so irritated they looked as though they were bleeding!! My mum nicely called me devil child for months lol they treated it with steroid eye drops I think, and pred for the arthritis! And ever sine then when my stomach plays me up so does one of my eyes! Crazy huh!
