I'm wanting to see the dosage you're on and your current weight.
My doc told me when I started that the dosage depends on your weight. My prescribed dosage was 150mg while I was around 160lbs close to 2 years ago... I currently weigh in at 200lbs and am wondering if maybe I should see about
increasing my dosage.
It seems to be working well for me other than a partial obstruction/hospital visit 2 weeks ago. Feel good now but with the hospital visit my doc's PA was talking about
switching to Humira. So I'm curious what everyone on Imuran takes because I have an appt with my doc in July and want to discuss the dosage then before we change anything up.

I think when you first start it they go by your weight but then you should have blood work done every 3 months to see your levels, I have been on it for 10 years and I weight 220 and can only take 50 mg, if I go over that it starts effecting my liver , strange drug. If you are going on Humira you should still take the Imuran, it works better, I have taken Imuran with Remicade, Humira and now Cimzi

I'm 110 lbs and taking 75 mg of Imuran on odd days and 100 mg of Imuran on even days (i.e. 100 mg on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays). My weight has varied from 90 lbs to 120 lbs over the 10 years I've been on Imuran and my doses have varied from 50 mg daily to 100 mg daily.
In addition to the CBC w/diff & plat and Hepatic function panel every 3 months we ran a Prometheus test that indicated potential hepatic toxicity and therapeutic range levels for the first several years, starting at 1 month, 3 months, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, yearly.

I started at 175 mg. my weight was 175 lbs.
My GI reduced it to 150 mg after blood work.
I reduced it myself to 100 mg after being on the SCD for a few months.
