Hi all... Been a long time. I've got my annual scope tomorrow. I hardly ate for days ahead and been super hydrated. Within one night of prep everything is clear/urine-like. No anything. not even the tea color tinge. Do I really have to drink it again in the morning!? Ugh. I know i should but how could anything be in me when it's pure water now?

Hi I now it's the only way to make sure everything is out of your system. Good luck with your test.

Sometimes when you wait for some time and don't have a bm, you feel like not everything was cleared. IMO, I think you have to drink it again to make sure it's all ok.

If the prep is not complete, they may not do the procedure and you'll have to prep again later on :-/

However, if you are "peeing out the butt" clear fluid and have not eaten, then your colon is pretty well flushed. I have had many scopes, and I never drink that stuff in the morning. Get it all out the night before is my suggestion.

Also, I woke up several times when they had me on Versed/Benadryl. Now I request they use Propofol (the Michael Jackson drug) and it seems to work infinitely better.

Thanks all! I woke and it wasn't completely clear, so ... gulp gulp. Ugh. Just gets old. Sorry to whine!

ZiggyZagnut - I won't let them use anything but propofol! I know it's got a scary side, but i hate being groggy plus the Fentanyl/Versed never did much for me, even when I was narcotic naive. (Not on them now, thankfully, but had to be for years.)

At least it's the Miralax prep. I shouldn't complain! Hope everyone is doing alright... Best wishes and thanks for the extra push reminder. Do it right! ;-)
