Spent 3 days in the ER with a partial bowel obstruction. It cleared up and I was discharged. Met with a surgeon today who will be doing a laparoscopic surgery to get into my small bowel with a camera. Scans from now and a trip to the ER 2 yrs ago show an enlarged section of my small bowel. He said he wasn't too worried about cancer because of a) so much time has passed he would have expected to see growth on the scans, and b) I don't have Crohn's. But now that I have looked up Crohn's, I wonder if I have it. When I was in my late 20's a began having chronic diarrhea. I was given a colonoscopy and nothing looked out of whack. I got a little better but I'm now in my early 40's and have never had a normal stool since that time in my 20s. For at least 7 or 8 years I've gone to the bathroom in the morning with an almost normal stool, then within the next couple of hours gone 2 to 3 more times with the stool becoming looser as it goes, usually ending up close to diarrhea. I never lost weight though. Not even when it first started. Anyway...anyone have this gradually loosening stool thing happening every morning?
