Humira Lupus and Prometheus ADA

I have been on Humira weekly for 6 years. In the last few months I've been getting a hot flushy rash on my cheeks. about a month ago, I had hives all over my scalp-like pull my hair out hives. In the meantime, I developed a terrible cold then sinus infection which my primary dr treated with antibiotics and pred. The pred made everything peachy. So I was good. And then I tapered off and the rash got hotter and more uncomfortable. I just feel kinda "unwell" not particularly horrible though. Today, I saw my GI and now I have to do some blood tests to see if I am developing drug-induced lupus. Would the symptoms really be so mild, ie a hot face rash? This test is not covered by my insurance so I'm banking on the company only charging me $250 once denied. Does anyone here have any experience with Prometheus and these tests and also what they charge?

I developed Lupus from Humira a few years back and posted it on here and was treated like I was an idiot. Yest it did happen and I wanted to warn others of having to deal with this. The Lupus never went away. I also developed Latent TB, Psoriasis, Liver Damage and a Fungal Infection (surgically removed and is back). It is devastating to have to deal with all of this and then to have your colleagues second guess what you are dealing with or be cruel about it is even more devastating. I was surprised to see your post and am sorry you too might be dealing with the same. Take care.

Wow, thx for your responses. I'm so sorry you all developed lupus. Since it's happening to me after I take Humira and gets better the longer I'm away from the shot, the dr wants me to switch to Cimzia but I'm still thinking on it. I don't want this reaction to fully develop, get worse, etc.
