There basically isn't any increased cancer risk with the anti-TNFs (of which Humira is one). This class of med has been available for about
15 years, so the longer-term evidence is building up:
www.medscape.com/viewarticle/774649 Rationally, the only med to be scared of being on long-term is Prednisone: not Remicade, Humira, 6MP, etc. Bear in mind that even a completely healthy person not on any medication at all will have
some future risk of getting cancer, pancreatitis, you name it. If you're alive, you have a chance of getting a disease. You can spend the present worrying about
being the 1 in 10,000 (or whatever) statistic or not - it's your choice.
Personally the present (and, I suppose, bad memories of the past as well) is more than enough for me to worry about
: I literally cannot be taking on board remote future risks, when we're all gonna die of something one day anyway.
