New to forum...have some questions

I am new to this forum and have not been officially diagnosed with Chrohns but my family doc has referred me to gi doc because she is pretty sure that is what I have. I have lost 33lbs over the past year and have not had a solid stool in almost as long. After I eat, I literally have to run to the bathroom. I have fatigue daily and am usually a very busy, energetic person but most days prefer to lay around. If I over eat I am nauseas and have very bad stomach pains. I recently started having lower back pain and pressure in my bladder. My question is... Since Chrohns is an autoimmune disease does it cause inflammation in surrounding areas? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Unfortunately, until you get a formal diagnosis, it's anyones guess as to what might be wrong with you.

Even considering that some of you symptoms might mimic Crohn's, there are numerous other things that you could have.

You will need to get to a GI, and have some tests, and diagnostics done. First they will very likely want to do a colonoscopy and endoscopy. You should also consider a SBFT, and they will likely do a complete blood work.

During you colonoscopy they will take biopsies to confirm whether Crohn's is present, even microscopically.

Autoimmune disorders are specific to the area they affect. Asthma affects the lungs, Crohn's the intestinal tract, rheum. arthritis the joints, etc.
