I agree with Jen about the Benzos - no point going on them unless you actually need them for anxiety or another appropriate reason. They are addictive as well and I have heard the withdrawal is 10x worse and much longer than opiate withdrawal. Opiates have a tendency to slow down your bowels, that's why people have D when in withdrawal: your body stops making it's own dopamine so when you stop the drug it's like opposite every side effect the drug induced (constipation to diarrhea, relaxed state to agitation, low blood pressure to high blood pressure, euphoria to depression and anxiety, etc.). If your only symptom of withdrawal is bloody D, I would venture a guess that it is not actually withdrawal, but more of a reaction to the meds.
